The City is gradually starting to gain momentum in becoming a metro at par with other metros: jobs are starting to grow. Salt Lake and Rajarhat are becoming home to new and innovative architectures, working spaces and entrepreneurial ventures capturing the true essence of Kolkata alongside. Redefining the city’s skyline now taller with ample space for both the vintage charm of Victoria Memorial to the West and the Salt Lake Stadium to the east with a host of high rises in the middle. An array of bigger brands of Europe (HnM, Zara) are all coming here leading to significant growth in opportunities, efforts, economy and marketing strategies as well. And in parallel, Kolkata is creating even bigger brands for India (Manyavar).

Food culture is also taking interesting twists that includes Pan Asian Cusine, Continental, Italian, Chinese, North Indian, Mexican, South Indian maintaining the never say no spirit and love for Street Foods of Kolkata with every passing season. Did you try that amazing Coffee, or that chocolate Rasmalai that a global coffee chain sells only in Kolkata?!

Then there are a lot of things that make us proud when we showcase our city grandeur to whoever comes from outside. Our tilottoma” has actually grown cleaner and prettier. We chuckle with a little bit of indulgence and pride when the evening streetlights and the new street furniture along Captain Bheri, Biswa Bangla or Patuli Floating Market draws praise from visiting colleagues, friends and relatives. And we feel overwhelmed, Yes! Our Kolkata is alive !!
